5Ks complete successfully the installation and commissioning of a new expansion to SIMAP Bridge simulator installed in Italian Navy Academy in Livorno.
SIMAP is composed by a large full Mission Bridge with projection theater, four secondary bridge cubicles and instructor stations.
The new module installed expand the training capability adding a new virtual unit and enabling also the trainee to continue the team activities remotely.
Accordingly the bridge role, operators can control the vessel, use the radar simulator, DGPS, AIS, propulsion system and all the other simulated onboard equipment. Also it is possible to communicate using VOIP technologies with the other member of the team, the instructors and with the other units involved in the simulation.
