The Caracciolo Nautical Institute of Bari is a Mistral simulator user since the end of the 90s. During year 2023 the simulator has been updated and integrated with additional features and visual channel so to realize a simulator complex composed by two part task bridge.
The configuration of each bridge has been designed to be compliant with the requirements of the Italian Maritime Authority for the STCW training and include an external view system reproduced on large monitor to provide about 120° HFOV. The bridges configuration allows managing both conventional and azimuthal own ships,
